Phase one is a 42-day residential treatment program. During this phase, clients engage in daily chores and have continuous access to 24-hour counselling. This structured environment allows individuals to progress in stability and gradually reintegrate into the community, thereby minimizing the likelyhood of relapse.
Clients are introduced to the Twelve Step Model of Recovery and developing coping mechanisms for relapse prevention. The facility delivers one-on-one counselling and group discussions (counsellor facilitated). They expect regular attendance at AA, NA, CA, CMA, etc.
Following the initial 42 days of treatment, a client has successfully completed Phase One. They may choose to progress to Phase Two. In Phase Two, clients must secure full-time employment or return to work if they are already employed. During this stage, clients must actively participate in their recovery journey. It includes continued engagement in in-house programs, counselling, and attendance at 12-step recovery meetings within the community and fulfilling the Phase I objectives.
Recovery Acres owns additional residences near the 1835 House. These accommodations are for individuals who have successfully completed phases one and two of treatment but do not feel ready to live independently. Clients participating in Phase Three Treatment must maintain stable full-time employment, consistently engage in in-house programs, attend 12-step recovery meetings in the community.
